However, he could have to wait until 2026 because Didier Deschamps, the current head coach of France, has extended his contract through that year, according to a statement released on Saturday by the French football federation (FFF).

Under Deschamps, France won the 2021 Nations League and the 2018 World Cup in Russia.Additionally, they advanced to the 2016 European Championship final.
Zidane, on the other hand, is currently unemployed after parting ways with Real Madrid in May 2021. Before Erik ten Hag’s appointment at Manchester United, Zidane was said to be in line for several positions there.
Zidane led Real Madrid to three straight Champions League victories from 2015–16 to 2017–18. Additionally, he guided his group to LaLiga titles in 2016–17 and 2019–20.
